Mom’s Run Things

Have you ever seen the memes about when you shop with a small business you’re building dreams and when you shop with a corporation you’re helping a CEO buy their next vacation home?  Well it’s absolutely true! When hiring a small business you’re helping a family.

After leaving the corporate world to stay home with my kids, I began to realize that I had more to offer than just a full-time caregiver. It’s been great spending more time with my family, but it was also time to get back to work. But I couldn’t see myself going back to the 9-5, working for someone else, being under appreciated and underpaid. I was barely bringing in enough to cover daycare expenses after taxes, insurance and putting a tiny percentage into the retirement fund. I knew I could do better! My husband has this saying that “no one knows you better than yourself.” That’s where Can You, VA came into fruition.

As a Virtual Assistant I get to assist a myriad of businesses (write these cool blogs) and interact with different people every day! I’m not only helping create and fulfill my own dreams, but other’s dreams as well! I love being able to stay home with my kids, have an income, and support my fellow entrepreneurs in ways I never could have imagined. Corporate jobs are great, they’re consistent and offer steady paychecks; But getting to make my own hours and schedule has been transformative.

As Can You, VA grows, we’re only going to do more to help our community and its members.  It’s important to me as a business owner to support not only my clients, but my friends and the people around me. I’ve always said what sets us apart from other Virtual Assistants is that your assistant will always be a real life human being and we won’t ever hire outside the United States. We’re committed to growing our community. It’s also my goal to empower and support other STAHM’s as we grow our team of virtual assistants. Because who better to keep you organized than a bunch of Moms! We’re a small business and we’d love to help you build yours!
